NOTE: Your department has the option to activate or deactivate this feature. If activated, it applies only to plan reviews and not to inspections.
This feature enables you to carry forward deficiencies from one plan review to the next plan review of that same type. For example, you do a "Tenant Renovation" plan review on the original plans and cite deficiencies. When the corrected plans are submitted, you schedule a second "Tenant Renovation" plan review. Permits Mobile (Building Inspector) allows you to “carry forward” the deficiencies cited in the Original plan review to the C1 plan review.
To carry forward deficiencies – i.e., “Fail” items – follow these steps:
- When you click the Start Inspection button to begin the plan review, Permits Mobile (Building Inspector) will first look to see if there is a completed plan review of this same type with deficiencies for this same job. If not, you will go directly to the short list. If so, you will get a message box asking if you would like to carry these deficiencies forward to this plan review.
- If you decide to carry forward deficiencies, you will see these items already marked Fail on your short list. If there were comments for these deficiencies in the previous plan review, the page icon will be lit up. Click the page icon to see the comment.
- If the deficiency has been corrected in this version of the plans, change the Fail to Pass. Then modify the comment accordingly.
- Choose the Plan Review Summary report to see a comprehensive history of all Pass, Fail, and NA items, along with all comments for all reviews of this type done on this job.
